MISSION STATEMENT
Alpha Iota Gamma serves as a foundation for professional growth among men and women dedicated to forging careers in healthcare. The brotherhood instills in its members the fundamental ethics that competence in human care demands. Through a commitment to discipline, compassion, and integrity, Alpha Iota Gamma strives to help develop the next generation of leaders in the field of health care.
OUR ORGANIZATION
Alpha Iota Gamma is first and foremost a co-educational, interdisciplinary healthcare fraternity. The brotherhood serves as a platform for collaboration amongst those interested in a wide variety healthcare fields including, but not limited to: medicine, dentistry, nursing, veterinary sciences, healthcare consulting, pharmacy, biotechnology, health policy and so forth. AIΓ’s diversity in healthcare-related professions fosters an inclusive environment in which individuals can professionally, academically, and socially network with and learn from each other.
Our chapter prides itself in its academic diversity. As Cornell does not offer any definitive pre-health track, our ΑΙΓ brothers are pursuing a wide assortment of majors - Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Human Development and Psychology to name a few. See the chart below for a complete breakdown of our current brotherhood’s major affiliations.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Alpha Iota Gamma seeks to create an inclusive environment for all of its members. We reject any and all forms of discrimination based on sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion, or abilities. As so, we welcome all members of the Cornell community.
AIΓ continues to push for equity in the healthcare sector through our continued efforts with service and philanthropy not only on the Cornell campus, but also in the local Ithaca community and on a national level.
As an organization, AIΓ seeks to produce culturally competent and understanding healthcare professionals through our brotherhood’s academics events; AIΓ is dedicated to educating its members about the long history of racism and discrimination in the United States, and the role it continues to play in access to, and quality of healthcare in the present day.
